summer fun

Ya'll this is the first year I haven't had a summer class or standardized test to study for in a whileee. I do work three days a week, do a little photography, and blog, but I always have to be doing something, so I've been BORED this summer. If anyone else is having this problem, I'm gonna list few ways I've been managing all this free time.
1. Reading
This is a basic one, but I never have time to read. I've had a few books I've been meaning to read for the past year, so when it's raining outside and there's absolutely nothing to do I'll pick up one of my books and read. I seriously cannot read fiction books because I get emotionally involved and it messes with me LOL, so i've been reading a lot of self-help and religious books this summer. Right now I'm reading 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, The Case for Faith, and Come Matter Here. They're all really different and super good. I'll probably do some posts about them and what I learned sometime in the future.
2. Thinking
Okay some may not consider this fun, but this summer I've really enjoyed just sitting outside or in my room and thinking. It sounds really weird, but it helps me remember what I need to do, what I want to do, and I can come up with ideas. It's kinda like the opposite of meditating hahhah. I will make lists of things I need to think about and it usually takes up a good portion of my time without me realizing it.
3. Workout Classes
Until this summer I hand't been to a real workout class. Let me tell ya, it's so fun. I've been going to Pure Barre, Cyclebar, and this cross fit place and I really enjoy it. I use Class Pass, so I can go to so many different fitness places in Louisville. Plus, the first month is free!
4. Purging my Closet
I kid you not, I have very few clothes left because I've gotten rid of so many this summer. I love organizing things & it takes up a lot of time. Plus, getting rid of clothes you don't wear anymore is a great way to make extra cash to go out and do something fun. I'll basically just pick up an item of clothing and if I wouldn't buy it again right now or miss it then I throw it out. It's better to just get rid of it instead of hoarding it for longer.
5. Going out to eat
This is the best part of summer in my opinion. I go out to eat a ton because I get too lazy to actually cook. Eating out isn't great for you or your bank account, but it's something to do and trying out new places is really fun.
These are my very boring tips for making your summer more enjoyable. They're all super realistic, and if you ever get bored try them out and see if they help!

Thanks for reading!
