Helloooooooo

Since the beginning of this year I've decided to implement some new practices into my skincare routine. SO, I thought it would be fun to share my current routine! So far this has helped in keeping my skin pretty clear.

Just as a disclaimer, I do already have pretty clear skin because I took Accutane in high school. This REALLLLLLY helped clear up my skin and has helped ever since. Also, what works for me may not work for you, so just keep that in mind!

The most major change I've made is not using a rag to wash my face. Instead, I either wash my face in the shower with my hands, or I use makeup removing face wipes. Ok this may be gross but I used to use the same rag to wash my face multiple times and I'm sure that's what was causing some of my acne issues. So definitely don't do that LOL.

When I first get in the shower I use this makeup remover stuff to take off my eye makeup. I put a lot of eye makeup on, and this stuff really does take it all off super easily. I do use a rag for this since I'm just using it on my eyes. It would be impossible to remove it using only water. That being said, actually get a new rag every time I use this.

Next, I apply this face wash with my hands and then let the water wash it off. I then repeat this step because I wear a lot of makeup and I want to make sure I got it ALLLL off ahahahah. This cleanser is the off-brand version of Cetaphil. I think this brand also has a facial cleanser that is geared towards those with acne problems.

In the event that I'm not getting in the shower before bed, I will use these face wipes to "wash" my face. Since I don't use a rag, it's really difficult and annoying to wash my face out of the shower. You have to do the TV commercial water face splash in order to clean off the soap haha. I've been using these off brand makeup wipes, but I suggest using the Nutrogena ones.

After my face is clean I use this moisturizer. I have super dry skin so I use this as much as possible. I love this moisturizer because it has spf 15 in it. I'm big into minimal sun exposure because it helps prevent wrinkles.

When I do have some acne pop up I will use this spot treatment to get rid of it. I do this after moisturizing and before I go to bed so it can sit on there allllll night.

Like I said, this may not work for everyone. But, it's always good to test out different skincare regimens to see what works best for you!
